Musical Notes

The Musical Notes blotter has been around for a long time and there have been quite a few different incarnations, the Musical Note blotter was said to have been one of Timothy Leary’s favourites. This example is probably an early 90’s incarnation, and came in three different colours, red, blue and , it shares similarity’s both in colour, paper and perforations to the 1992  Alien Girl - Liquid Sky blotter http://vintage-blotter-acid.blogspot.co.uk/p/lotter_2.html

Blue Unicorns

The Blue Unicorn was a cafe on Hayes Street in San Francisco that brought the Beats to the Haight in the early 1960's and converted them to Hippies, circulated the USA in the early 80’s, but there are reports suggesting that they hung on well into the early 90’s.

Lion Rampant & Double Eagle

Another blotter that I can’t find much info on, Mark McCould has a lager example on his website: http://www.blotterbarn.com/gryphon.html he calls it the Gryphon and Lion, the full sheet contains a repeated pattern of Gryphon & Unicorn and Double headed Eagle & Loin, printed in blue on white.

Woodstock

Woodstock is a fictional character in Charles M. Schulz's comic strip Peanuts. He is Snoopy's closest friend and, after Snoopy, the most recognized non-human in the strip, a very rare example of this blotter classic that was in circulation throughout 1980's.

Black & Silver Moons

Also known as Crescent Moon Face, Silver Moons, Silver Half-moons and the Moon the Cow Jumped Over, circulated the USA, around the mid to late 80’s, and apparently appeared worldwide by the early 90's, this blotter came in two variants, silver moons on black and silver moons on white, both were said to be very good.

Green Globes

Blotter circa 1985, 4 hits at 1/4", said to have been very strong, one of the first computer set blotters, Globes appeared throughout the 80's and 90's, the design of the globes would change with every issue.

Pink Flamingos

Originally issued circa 1987, the whole sheet was made of 40 hits, celebration of 10 different personality types on these magnificent four-ways, said to have been clean and strong, United States.

‘You can be anything this time around...  a dancer, a surfer, a businessman, a biker, a stripper, a tripper, S&Mer?.... a cowboy, or just glamorous.’

Red Yin Yang

This blotter is from 1984, showing 5 hits of 3/8" tabs, printed in gold ink on red paper, said to have be clean and of medium strength, blotter also came in blue, printed in silver ink.

Dancing Test Tubes

Blotter circa, 1985-1989, this very rare example shows the massive 1/2" tabs, the whole sheet was made up of 100 squires, the tabs themselves were said to be clean and strong, Cockettes influenced piece, which celebrated LSD in the spotlight!

Dolphins

This print depicts 500 cut-along hits that were originally issued circa 1980, Dolphins were printed in Gold, issued simultaneously with the Snowflakes, both are said to have been clean and strong.

There is a larger reprint of vastly poor quality, on the original blotter each image takes up 25 squares, on the reprint it takes up 252 squares.

12 Album Covers

These are said to have been released with a few differently arranged designs, but I have only seen this lay out, from the Mouse-Kelley catalogue predominated the 20th anniversary of the summer of love, 48 large 4-ways a sheet, this design was associated with Leonard Pickard when he was busted in 1988 in Hayward, California, mid to late eighties and were heavily dosed.
